Taija New is a rising star in the Springfield music scene. Born and raised in the city, Taija has been passionate about performing since she was young. She was a member of the Central High School Dance Team, the CET Crew, and quickly fell in love with hip hop dance. She spent hours with her sister watching music videos and copying the dance moves of artists like Aaliyah, Destiny's Child, Mya and 3LW. Growing up Taija was an avid listener of Hip-Hop and R&B; she even tried singing, but it wasn't until she heard Nicki Minaj that she was inspired to start rapping. Since then, she has been perfecting her craft and making a name for herself in the local music community.

Taija's hard work and dedication paid off when she learned of a local resource available to musicians right here in her own backyard: Angelo Quaglia, owner of TRAQ House, a recording studio located in Chicopee. Angelo has produced music for some of the biggest names in the music industry, including SWV, Busta Rhymes, and Joe. He helped Taija produce a professional product that showcases her unique talent and style and was an important part of her ability to create next-level work!

Taija's newest single, "IDKNO" aka "I Don't Know No" drops this Friday. The song is all about surrounding yourself with positive, uplifting people and how your choices affect your outcomes. Taija is a firm believer in working hard to grow mentally, spiritually, and professionally, and she only surrounds herself with people who share this same mindset.
